A Monroe County man died of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash at 4:49 p.m. on Saturday. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the crash occurred along Route 196 at an entrance to the Carriage Square Center in Tobyhanna.

Police said a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Thomas Yau, 54, of Tobyhanna, entered the intersection from the center onto 196 where his vehicle was struck by a 2008 Infinity G37 driven by Stephen Tice, 20, also of Tobyhanna.

Both drivers were injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono, East Stroudsburg. Yau was pronounced dead in the emergency room, police said.

The road was closed for about four hours as part of an investigation. Any witnesses to the crash is asked to call Pocono Mountain police at 570-895-2400.
