An electrical worker was electrocuted Monday morning while working on a high tension power line in Towamensing Township. The incident was first reported at 11:30 a.m. along Route 209 at Hemlock Street in Franklin Township.
Emergency found nothing with a second call reporting the incident on a high tension power line to the rear of Country Junction. Workers and paramedics performed CPR for almost an hour before the victim was removed from the scene by Palmerton Ambulance.State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.Several power companies are on scene. It is not clear if the worker was with a power company or a tree trimming operation.
