State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers:
• On April 28 at 9:43 p.m. troopers responded to Chestnuthill Powersports, Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a report of a burglary. Someone entered through a unlocked door. The suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers. It was not indicated if anything was taken.
• A 56-year-old man from Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, reported that he was notified via text message from the ESSA Bank, that two unauthorized transactions occurred on April 29 and 30 totaling $1,007.83 on his account.
• On April 28 at 2:22 p.m. troopers responded to a residence at Juniper Court, in Jackson Township, Monroe County. A 67-year-old woman from Tannersville reported someone has been using her Bank of America checks without her consent. A total of $6,100 was taken.
• On May 1 at 1:55 p.m. a 52-year-old man from Effort, Chestnuthill Township, reported he received a phone call from someone stating he was with PPL Electric Utilities. The victim was told his account was delinquent and he owed over $900 and would have to make an immediate payment of about $400 or have his electrical service shut off. He was instructed to call a call center to make payment.
The victim assumed the call to be a scam and hung up.
