State police at Frackville are investigating several burglaries.
• Troopers said on May 2 at 4 p.m. two people arrived at 77 W. Pine St., in Sheppton, East Union Township, on an all-terrain vehicle and appeared to be highly intoxicated. A woman went to the front porch and attempted to open the front door unsuccessfully. A man went to a side entrance and forced the double door open, pulling the left hinge screws out of the door jam. Both suspects then entered the residence, but almost immediately went out the front door, taking nothing nor causing any further damages. Both left on the ATV.
• Troopers also said a burglary occurred at 247 Valley St., in New Philadelphia, sometime between April 29 and May 2.
Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
