Two people sustained injuries during a two-car crash Saturday afternoon in Lehighton. Officer Gabe Szozda said the incident occurred at 5:09 p.m. when one of the vehicles was coming up Ninth Street and made a left in front of a car coming down North Ninth Street.

The drivers of the vehicles, Gloria Pormilli, 73, of Lehighton, and Troy Abelovsky, 47, of Lehighton, were both injured and transported to St. Luke’s Lehighton Campus. Charges are pending.
