A Dauphin County driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on April 8. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred at 11:43 a.m. along Route 209 in Porter Township.

Troopers said Horace E. Brandenberger, 79, of Lykens, was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 truck southbound when his vehicle crossed the double yellow line and collided into a 2018 International Harvester truck with trailer that was hauling an SUV, operated by Dale A. Marks, 60, of Tremont. The Dodge collided head-on into the Harvester.

Brandenberger was pronounced dead at the scene. Marks sustained a suspected broken arm and was transported to an area hospital.
