State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents in Monroe County.

• On Feb. 28 at 5:10 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2006 Acura along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township. Upon further investigation Samantha Monteforte, 28, of Bushkill, and Katie Murphy, 38, of Albrightsville, were taken into custody for drug possession. Monteforte was taken to the county prison in Snydersville on an outstanding warrant. Murphy was taken to the Carbon County prison in Nesquehoning, on an outstanding warrant. Drug charges have been filed against the two.

• On March 28 at 5:32 p.m. troopers responded to a residence along Starlight Drive at Shogun Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, for a disorderly woman. A 36-year-old man from Effort, reported his ex-girlfriend, a 39-year-old from Kunkletown, who troopers declined to identify, was outside his home striking the front door and yelling obscenities. Troopers ordered the woman to leave the property. She was told not to return. She was charged with disorderly conduct.
