Neighbors and nearby workers helped rescue a father and children who were kayaking at Lake Harmony on Tuesday.
A father had at least two, and possibly three young children out in a kayak during the afternoon, when they ran into problems with all of them slipping into the water. One child, a three year-old girl, was flown from the scene.
Lake Harmony fire chief Ralph Lennon praised area neighbors and a nearby construction crew who grabbed nearby kayaks and canoes and paddled by hand to the flailing victims.
Lennon reported that all of the victims were wearing flotation devices.
