A proposal to create a three-way jointure between the Mauch Chunk, East Mauch Chunk and Penn Forest school districts was unanimously approved at a meeting of the Mauch Chunk Parent-Teacher's Association. The meeting was held at the junior-senior high school.

The final decision on the jointure proposal will be decided on April 3, when representatives of the three school districts meet in the Second Ward.
