One person was injured Friday afternoon in a crash in Schuylkill Township. The incident occurred at 3 p.m. as the driver was traveling north on Route 209 just past the Reevesdale intersection. The driver lost control sliding across the roadway onto the far berm and hitting a tree. The victim suffering head injuries and was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
