Pleasant Valley High School will be closed to students on Friday through Sunday due to an out break of COVID-19 in seven students.
All high school sports and activities are postponed until Monday. The high school musical has been rescheduled for the following weekend beginning March 26.
In-person classes will resume on Monday.
The decision to close was made in an effort to follow guidelines from both the state Department of Education and the state Department of Health, said Superintendent Lee Lesisko.
The high school students should follow a remote synchronous schedule on Friday. MCTI students will also be learning remotely and will not report to MCTI until Monday.
Lesisko said vaccinations have begun for all staff members. Faculty will report to the high school as scheduled.
Information regarding the closure will be posted on teacher’s Google Classroom pages, and the high school web page.
All other buildings will operate on a normal schedule.
