Mary Lou Gildea, 127 E. Ridge St., Lansford, has been named promotions director for the Carbon Plaza Mall Association, succeeding Gloria Ciavaglia, who resigned.

Gildea, the former Mary Lou Sandherr, co-hosts the Blue Ridge Cable TV Centerfold program and is also a graduate of the American Theatre Wing. She is currently employed as a freelance coordinator throughout much of Carbon County.In her new job, she will handle arrangements for appearances of groups and individuals who will give demonstrations, entertain shoppers or conduct bake sales at the mall.
