A Kunkletown man recently entered a guilty plea in Carbon County court to a charge of driving under the influence, ending a case that has been pending since 2017.
Christopher Pellegrino, 35, entered his plea before Judge Joseph J. Matika. He was arrested by state police at Fern Ridge on Oct. 21, 2017, following a traffic stop.
He was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, pay a fine of $300, license suspended for a year, render 25 hours of community service, pay court costs of about $1,000, follow any recommendation of his drug and alcohol evaluation and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.
He was given credit for two days already served and began serving the three remaining days immediately.
