JTNB declares special dividend

The Board of Directors of the JTNB Bancorp Inc. declared a special dividend in the amount of 20 cents per share.

This dividend, declared on Dec. 28, 2020, was issued to shareholders as of record on Jan. 21, 2021, and was paid Feb. 1, 2021. This dividend, when combined with the previous two dividends declared last year and payable in July 2020 and January 2021, make up a total dividend of 69 cents for 2020, reflecting an approximate 5.45% yield on investments.

JTNB Bancorp Inc. is the parent company of the Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank, a Pennsylvania state bank that offers convenient and personalized service to the individual and commercial residents of the community since 1855 which distinguishes JTNB as the oldest bank in Carbon County.

The Jim Thorpe Neighborhood Bank continues to be “safe and sound” and exceeds federal regulatory capital standards and is a “well capitalized” institution. JTNB’s conservative and disciplined business philosophy enables them to continue their mission of providing a strong return to shareholders.

JTNB has six offices located in the boroughs of Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Nesquehoning and Lansford as well as in Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe. Total assets as of Dec. 31, 2020, were $222 million.
