A quick response by firefighters from Schuylkill and Carbon counties this afternoon saved a home in the Greenwood section of Coaldale. The fire was reported just after 2 p.m. at 110 Greenwood street.

When firefighters arrived, flames were showing in the rear. The first fire personnel arriving on scene confirmed a working dwelling fire, prompting a second alarm.
