Michael Havrischak’s stint on the Panther Valley School Board could be a short one due to a mistake made by school officials.

Five days ago, Havrischak was appointed to serve on the board as one of Coaldale’s representatives, but it now looks as through his appointment may have to be rescinded.

He was named to fill the unexpired term of Faye R. Lewis, who resigned as the representative of Coaldale’s Region 6. But county election records show Havrischak lives at 518 W. Water St., which lies in Coaldale’s Region 7, making it illegal for him to represent the district to which he was incorrectly appointed.
