Palmerton’s Joseph De Rossi has announced his intentions to continue his academic and football careers at Division 3 Moravian College.
DeRossi will be playing on the defensive side of the ball.
The Blue Bomber spent four years at the varisty level, and was an outside linebacker on defense and played in the slot on offense.
Defensively this past season, De Rossi registered 66 tackles, including 38 solo, for an average of 8.3 per game. He had two tackles for loss, a quarterback sack, five pass deflections, a recovered fumble and a blocked extra point.
When Palmerton had the ball, he caught nine passes for 58 yards and one touchdown.
A team captain this year, De Rossi is also the treasurer of the Gridiron Club.
The son of John De Rossi and Kathy Wolfe, and stepson of Joe Wolfe, Joseph plans to major in business administration.
