The life of a 7-year-old Nesquehoning girl was saved by an unemployed miner when he snatched her from the path of an 80-car diesel train. The youngster is Ruth Ann, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Sheridan, of East Catawissa Street. Joseph Bubon, Nesquehoning, was sitting on his front porch on Park Street when he saw the girl standing on the tracks as a freight train was approaching. Noticing the youngster was too frightened to move, he ran 100 feet to the tracks and pulled her from the path of the train.
