State Police have asked Barrett and Price township residents to shelter in place.
Residents should not go outdoors and stay away from windows, as the manhunt for the man who shot state police continues.
Police from all areas have surrounded a house in Canadensis, near the home of Eric Frein's parents.
Frein, who is charged with fatally shooting Cpl. Bryon Dickson and wounding Trooper Alex Douglass, has been in hiding since last Friday night's ambush of the Blooming Grove state police barracks.
A shelter is open at Barrett Township Fire House for people who cannot get home.
