A Tamaqua man was arrested by the West Hazleton Police and 200 bags of suspected fentanyl seized Saturday.
Police arrested Alnaldo Perez, 33, after a traffic stop. Officers on patrol noticed the vehicle committing multiple moving violations. Perez, who was wanted by state parole after absconding from supervision on kidnapping and firearms charges, was a passenger in the vehicle.
Pennsylvania state parole agents took custody of Perez who faces narcotics related charges, police said. Along with the drugs, police said there is distribution/trafficking of crystal methamphetamine.
Police were assisted by officers from Sugarloaf Township Police Department.
