State police report on Lehigh County crashes

State police at Bethlehem reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Lehigh County roadways:

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:07 a.m. on Feb. 2 at the intersection of Route 309 and Old Packhouse Road, in North Whitehall Township. Troopers said Andrew P. Brush, 55, of Slatington, was southbound in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado truck while Walter C. Ebert, 47, of Walnutport, was eastbound on Old Packhouse Road driving a 2006 Ford 500. Brush was traveling too fast for conditions and could not stop his vehicle for a traffic single and his vehicle struck Ebert’s in the intersection.

No one was injured. Both vehicles had to be towed. Brush was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 3:14 p.m. on Jan. 31 along Main Street in Washington Township. Troopers said Anthony N. Tedesco, 26, of Slatington, was driving a 1998 Subaru Outback westbound and going too fast for conditions when he lost control. His vehicle struck a large rock along the right berm with the passenger side front tire. The vehicle then overturned onto its roof and came to rest on its roof in the westbound lane.

Tedesco was not injured but the Subaru had to be towed.

He was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 7:05 p.m. on Jan. 31 along Spring Valley Road in Washington Township. Jan M. Washburn, 72, of Walnutport, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala southbound and going too fast for conditions when she lost control. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree with the front passenger side, where it came to rest.

Washburn and her passenger, Kelly J. Washburn, 51, also of Walnutport, were not injured. The two then got a ride home and left the scene before police arrived. The vehicle had to be towed.

She was cited for the crash.
