Get Out for Wellness at Riverview Park from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Riverview Park in Palmerton.

Riverview Park, tucked between the Lehigh River and D&L Trail in East Penn Township, is home to the Lehigh River’s only riverside campground, two ponds, mixed forest, playground, disc golf course and a welcoming pavilion.

We’ll visit some of the diverse habitats here and hike the D&L trail southbound to Lehigh Gap Nature Center’s wetlands, found on a hidden loop trail. This is an easy, 1 ½-2 mile hike. Leashed dogs are welcome. Wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers. Post-hike, warm up around a campfire and enjoy some roasted apples.
