Around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, New Columbus, Hauto, and Nesquehoning fire companies and Lehighton ALS were dispatched to the Broad Mountain for a reported single vehicle rollover. When fire crews arrived on scene they found a silver SUV turned over onto the driver’s side. All occupants were out of the vehicle with no injuries. Nesquehoning’s engine and New Columbus’ rescue truck went to the scene. New Columbus’ utility truck and Hauto’s rescue stayed at the bottom of the mountain in case of another call. Crews returned a short time later after a tow truck removed the vehicle.
