A Migration Fest will be held Saturday, Sept. 29; and Sunday, Sept. 30, at Lehigh Gap Nature Center, with be two days of nature-related programming.

All events are free except for the talk by Scott Weidensaul which requires registration and a fee.On Saturday, Sept. 29, from 9 to 9:30 a.m., there will be a hawk identification program in the Osprey House followed by a trip to Bake Oven Knob; from 9:30 a.m. to noon.From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., there will be a family bird walk on the Prairie Warbler Trail and from 10 to 11 a.m. there will be an update on the Eastern Pennsylvania phenology project.Also from 10 a.m. to noon there will be a display of live amphibians and reptileson the porch.From 11 a.m. to noon, there will ba project of Monarch butterfly migration and tagging.Lunch will be available for a donation from noon to 1 p.m.Following lunch, from 1 to 2 p.m., live amphibians and reptiles will be displayed on the porch and from 1 to 2 p.m., there will be a second program of monarch butterfy migraton and tagging.From 2 t 4 p.m. there will be a grassland hike and from 2 to 3 p.m., there will be butterfly stories and crafts in the great room. From 3 to 4 p.m. there will be a habitat garden walk.Scott Weidensaul will be the guest speaker at 7:30 p.m.On Sunday, Sept. 30, from noon to 1 p.m., there will be a monarch butterfly migration and tagging; from 1 to 2 p.m., visitors will bet to know native bees including a chance to use a microscope to see them larger than life. From 2 to 3 p.m., there will be a habitat garden tour and from 3 to 4 p.m.,vampire bats and capybaras will be discussed by Dr. Rex Lord in the great hall.
