My extensive travel experiences and many excursions on remote country roads provide me with an abundance of creative ideas."She added, "I am attracted to the intensities of the western landscape for its grandeur, geology and sudden climate changes. However, the subleties of the east provide serenity through its soft earth tones, blue green hues and patterned fields. The sheer power of the weather plays a vital role in my work, as do the seasons. Capturing these dramatic forces, as well as portraying the elegance of nature, brings to me a sense of deep connection and gratitude with great possibilities. This needed homage and appreciation of the earth and the natural world represents the essence of my work. It is my sincere hope that this appreciation, as well as a deep sense of peace and understanding, is conveyed to the viewer.
