Palmerton has implored those in the community to wear masks due to the swell in COVID-19 cases.
It was announced at Thursday’s borough council meeting that there have been concerns from people that some of the businesses and employees in town aren’t wearing masks.
Due to those concerns, a message now appears on the borough’s Facebook page urging people to wear masks.
“In light of the surge in COVID-19 cases, Palmerton Borough Council urges residents, businesses, and employees to follow the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s Order for wearing masks,” the post reads.
