Bowmanstown Borough Council took the following action on Tuesday:
• Approved contractor’s application for payment No. 4 in the amount of $110,920, and contractor’s application for payment No. 5 in the amount of $73,406 for reed beds for the sewer plant.
• Agreed to purchase two meter probes at a cost of about $800.
• Agreed to purchase six manhole inserts at a cost of $276.
• Agreed to upgrade QuickBooks 2021 at a cost of $300 by May 2021.
• Agreed to allow the planning commission to meet twice a month, on the second and last Tuesday of each month, until they are finished with the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance.
• Reappointed Chad Everett to a three-year term on the zoning hearing board.
• On a 5-1 vote, appointed Antoinette Mullen to a five-year term on the water authority board. Councilman Rob Moyer was opposed.
• Appointed Councilman William Ravert as Carbon County Tax Collection Committee delegate, and Rob Moyer as alternate delegate.
• Appointed Councilwoman Candace Rodrigues as the representative for the Carbon County Council of Governments, and Councilwoman Kara Scott as the alternate representative.
• Reappointed Paul Bossard to the vacancy board.
• Reappointed Councilman Darren Thomas to the UCC Appeals Board.
• Appointed Paul’s Garage as designated towing service.
• Agreed to have the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Police participate in nonemergency and emergency events in the 2021 year.
