State police at the Stroudsburg barracks stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Route 115 and Hamilton Road South in Ross Township at 2:37 p.m. Dec. 1 and ended up arresting the driver on drug possession charges.

Police said the 25-year-old man from Effort, who was stopped while driving a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

His name was not released.
