Guy Seifert will remain chairman of Towamensing Township’s Board of Supervisors following the municipality’s annual reorganization meeting Monday night.
The vote to reappoint Seifert was unanimous, but the board will have a new vice chairman as John Kleintop takes the reins from Scott Mosier, who rounds out the trio of supervisors.
Kleintop will be entering his second year on the board after being appointed during last year’s reorganization meeting.
Mosier will again have the position of roadmaster for 2021.
Other appointments included Jessica Ahner as secretary and open records officer, Seifert as treasurer, Jan Cool as clerk, Thomas Nanovic as solicitor, Carl Faust as primary zoning officer and uniform building code inspector, Carbon Engineering as township engineer, Scott Bieber as primary sewage officer and flood plan administrator.
Supervisors also named Daniel Reis as fire chief.
Two annual donations, $4,000 each, will be sent to the Palmerton Library and the Valor House following board approval.
The township’s next supervisors meeting is scheduled for Feb. 4.
