The election of three Carbon County pioneers in public health to Honorary Life Membership on the Board of Directors of the Lehigh Valley Tuberculosis and Health Association was announced today by Dr. N.H. Heiligman, president.

Dr. S.F. Druckenmiller of Lansford; Monsignor Agnello Angelini, rector, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, of Nesquehoning; and Myra Brookmeyer of Palmerton, were signified for this honor at a recent meeting of the association’s board of directors.

“These people helped to forge the foundation that contributed much to the public’s health in Carbon County and encouraged considerable interest on the part of the public and X-ray programs, and other health services,” Heiligman said.
