Carbon County Coroner Bob Miller released the name Thursday of the 37-year-old man who died early Wednesday in a house in Penn Forest Township. The victim was Matthew Wilcox, who lived alone in the home.

The fire broke out at around 3:15 a.m. at 131 N. Shore Drive, Indian Mountain Lakes.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully involved dwelling fire.

Firefighters from Carbon and Monroe counties responded to the scene.

A state police fire marshal is investigating.
