After a brief glitch, lights in the Palmerton Borough Park were back on as of Wednesday morning.

Borough Manager Donna McGarry said PPL workers came out Wednesday morning and were able to fix the malfunction.

McGarry said she got a call about 6 p.m. Tuesday stating that the lights were out in the park.

“I don’t know how long they had been out before that,” she said.

McGarry noted it wasn’t only the park that was affected.

“There was other areas of town that were out as well, so it was all connected with something with PPL,” she said. “It affected the park and neighboring residences.”
