A Japanese woman has been arrested in the death of an airman from Saylorsburg, who was stabbed in his off-base residence in Japan.

According to published reports, airman Nicholas Vollweiler, a graduate of Pleasant Valley High, was stationed at Yokota Air Base in western Japan.

According to Stars and Stripes, a woman, Aria Saito, 27,  was arrested at the scene. She told police she was in a relationship with Vollweiler.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on scene.

Vollweiler was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:42 p.m. Friday.
