$94,000 in coins, currency stolen in Schuylkill burglary

More than $94,000 in currency and gold and silver coins was stolen in a burglary that happened between noon Nov. 10 and noon Dec. 10 at a residence in Schuylkill Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

The victim is a 66-year-old man from Hollow Avenue, Mary D.

Police said someone stole $80,000 worth of various gold and silver coins that were dated pre-World War II, $14,000 in currency of various denominations and a Makita cordless circular handsaw worth $100.
