The West Penn supervisors met on Monday night.
Chairman Tony Prudenti announced that due to the pandemic, the township building will be closed until further notice.

Police news
• The board accepted a resignation letter from Jason Lorah, longtime West Penn patrolman, who spent time as sergeant.
• The board accepted a resignation letter from patrolman Marcos Duarte.
• The police report included 250 traffic citations; 52 warnings.
• The fire company report included 32 total calls answered.
• The board approved a motion to purchase a new truck for the road crew.
Other business
• On Sunday, the West Penn Fire Company will host its monthly breakfast. Additionally, there will be a blood drive on site from 8 a.m.-noon. Visit the Miller-Keystone website at giveapint.org for more information.
• The West Penn Police Department is partnering with the local Dollar General store at 2098 West Penn Pike for a holiday toy drive. Contributions would be greatly appreciated. For questions, or information regarding a family in need, email toys@westpennpd.us.
• The board shared information of a scam that is locally circulating. Residents should aware of paperwork or mail that illustrates the popular soft drink “Dr Pepper” in the letterhead, with directions in regard to cashing bogus checks.
