The Tamaqua Area School board held its workshop meeting on Tuesday night.

Committees took the following action:

• The education committee approved the Tamaqua Area School District School health and Safety plan. Changes were made to maintain the district’s in-person education model.

• The auxiliary committee approved the second reading of Policy No. 006.1 in regard to attendance at meetings via electronic communication.

• The finance committee appointed Jeff Bowe of Bow and Odorizzi Law LLC, Tamaqua, as the district’s solicitor. Retainer is $5,200 and $175 per hour.

• The finance committee approved tax refunds; Rush Township 2020 RE and Rush Township 2019 PC/AO.

• The finance committee approved the 2021 tax exemption form.

• The finance committee approved the 2021-22 budget timeline, using the option to not raise taxes above the index.

• The finance committee authorized the 2018 over income audit accounts for collection. Total amount is $47,025.
