Blue Mountain Resort will host its annual Winter Fest this weekend.
Designed to encourage people to get outside and have some fun, the event is free-for-all ages and boasts fun, activities and prizes all weekend long.This year's festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.Blue Mountain Resort has teamed up with Cooper Electric and St. Luke's University Health Network to bring outdoor winter fun to anyone looking to break their cabin fever.Guests looking for something fun to do with friends and family will find everything they need at Winter Fest.Free to enter, there will be a variety of activities to enjoy, such as the USA Olympic Luge Team for ages 10 and over; snowshoe demos with Eastern Mountain Sports; ice carving; dog sledding; roaming magician; snow-making tours; snowflake search (find the snowflakes on the Mountain and redeem for prizes); snowtubing with Carver; Carver's coloring contest; live entertainment at Slopeside Pub & Grill and Last Run Lounge; and fireworks at 6 p.m. Saturday.Skiing, snowboarding and tubing will be available at normal weekend rates, but guests do not have to ski, snowboard or tube to enjoy Winter Fest.More information about Winter Fest can be found at
