December 4, 1999 - Tamaqua’s Matt Benza and Andy Breiner both capture individual titles to help the Blue Raiders earn the team championship at the Bloomsburg Invitational. Breiner gains pins in three of his four matches, including one in the finals for the 160-pound crown. Breiner is also awarded the tourney’s Sportsmanship and Hustle Award. Benza wins all four of his matches and registers a 7-3 decision in his 135-pound title bout. Adam Rupert finishes second at 189, while Mark Schwalm (130) and Brandon Burkett (171) both place third.
