A firefighter was injured Sunday afternoon responding to a working dwelling fire at 1135 Maple Spring Drive.

The fireman was transported to the Palmerton Hospital.

One of the homeowners was also injured and was rushed to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center.

Fire officials report the fire started as the homeowners were in the process of smoking meats.
