The Tamaqua Area School District reported a COVID-19 case on Monday.
Superintendent Ray Kinder addressed district families in a letter.
“We were informed of a positive case of COVID-19 in our school district,” Kinder said. “The individual is a student at Tamaqua High School and has not been in school in over five days. The student has been assigned to isolation. All other personal information is strictly confidential.”
Kinder said 22 individuals will need to quarantine.
