Lehighton has added a contingency football game to its schedule for next week.

The Indians will travel to Pocono Mountain West on Thursday, Nov. 12 to play the Panthers if both teams have been eliminated from the district playoffs.

Lehighton faces Northwestern in a Class 4A quarterfinal contest on Friday, while PM West is at Freedom the same night in a 6A tilt.

If both clubs lose in the postseason, they will play each other. Should either team win their playoff game, the contingency game would be canceled.

Tom McCarroll is the head coach of the Indians, while his uncle Jim McCarroll leads the Panthers.

If the game is played, kickoff is at 7 p.m.
