The body of a Tamaqua area man who was  reported missing one week ago has been found and a Saint Clair man has been charged in his death.

The body of Jason "Jay" Hahn, 22, of Andreas, was discovered about 5 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area near Silver Creek Road in Blythe Township, near New Philadelphia, 10 miles southwest of Tamaqua.Moylan on Sunday said he would perform a virtual autopsy at the request of state police. He said a traditional autopsy will be performed Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

The State police Troop L Major Case Team arrived at the location where the body was found to investigate. The Kaska fire department assisted.Ethan Michael Sullivan, 20, is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, and recklessly endangering another person.He was arraigned early Sunday before District Judge Stephen Bayer of Tamaqua and jailed in Schuylkill County Prison, where is he also being held on unrelated charges.Hahn was pronounced dead at 7 p.m. by Schuylkill County coroner David Moylan, who said Hahn's body was discovered by people riding all-terrain vehicles.Sullivan has a string of arrests, the most recent being a felony burglary charge, along with criminal mischief and theft filed by state police at Schuylkill Haven on June 18.Hahn was last seen the weekend of June 14, when he left the house with a friend either late the night of June 14 or early in the morning of June 15.In a June 19 interview with the Times News, Hahn's friend Derek Snyder said the friend Hahn left with said he dropped Hahn off near Mary D or New Philadelphia, “but his story kept changing.”

Snyder and his family later learned the Jeep in which the friend had picked up Hahn had been stolen, and that the friend was in jail.The news of Hahn’s death stunned family and friends who'd been searching for the victim and hoping for positive results.Hahn's older brother, Harry, 28, said Sunday the family is taking the news hard, especially Hahn's mother, who reportedly has medical issues.

"She's a wreck," he said.Members of the Snyder family are lending support to the Hahns while they, themselves, try to get their heads around the tragedy."My mom was with his family all night," said Snyder, who said he's known the victim for the past eight years.Snyder said the accused murderer Sullivan was a friend of Hahn. Snyder knew Sullivan, too, but not too well, he said.
