Passenger flown from L. Towamensing crash

One person was injured following a two-car crash in Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred at 12:40 p.m. Oct. 30 along Hahns Dairy Road when a 1996 Ford operated by Justin Underdown, 25, of Quakertown, lost control on a curve in the roadway, struck a 2001 Buick driven by Corey Mohr, 55, of Kunkletown, and struck a rock off the westbound shoulder.

A passenger in the Ford, Anthony Underdown, 52, of Quakertown, was injured and was airlifted to St. Luke’s Bethlehem for treatment.

Neither Justin nor Anthony Underdown were wearing their seat belts at the time of the incident.

Mohr was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Justin Underdown was charged for driving vehicle at an unsafe speed.

Palmerton Ambulance, Aquashicola Fire Company and Blue Ridge Towing assisted on scene.
