November 4, 1961 - Palmerton receives touchdowns from four different players to gain a 26-14 victory over Bangor. Three of those scores come in the first half as the Blue Bombers, coached by Bill Ruddy, build a 19-0 advantage. Bill Carazo accounts for the first tally with a 25-yard TD pass from Ray Carazo in the opening quarter. A few minutes later, Mike Hudock registers a pick-six when he intercepts a pass and returns it 32 yards. Joe Visnosky adds to the lead with a 2-yard scoring run in the second frame, while Bill Heydt adds insurance with a 2-yard TD run in the third period.
