State police at the Fern Ridge barracks arrested two men on drug possession charges after a traffic stop they made at 3:19 p.m. Sept. 23 on Interstate 80 westbound in Foster Township.

Charged were Deon Jones, 41, of Chester, and William Stallworth, 48, of Lindenwood, New Jersey.

Police said after stopping the 2009 BMW upon observing the driver committing a traffic violation, multiple indicators of criminal activity were found. Police said the occupants denied their request to search the vehicle, after which time a K-9 unit was beckoned and the dogs alerted them to a probable cause upon an exterior search of the vehicle.

Police said they then found a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle.
