Lehighton Police Department continues to investigate an incident in which several shots were fired at a popular eating establishment.
Borough police Detective Matt Arner said six shots were fired at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday at the Boulevard Drive-In Restaurant along Route 443 in Lehighton.Arner said it appears the shots were fired with either a pellet or a BB gun.He said the incident was caught on video, and added, “We have a suspect that we’re attempting to locate to question.”“It appears that it was directed at the restaurant, based on our investigation,” Arner said. “No other businesses or residences had any damages that were reported to us within the last 24 hours.”Arner said the establishment sustained minor damage, though, “We don’t know what the value is on the damage. Our department and the restaurant are still waiting for an estimate.”He said the damage would have a direct impact on the grading of the criminal offense, be it a summary, misdemeanor, or felony.
