State police at Frackville reported on the following arrests made by troopers.
• On Oct. 19 at 1:38 p.m. troopers responded to the 300 block of E. Mahanoy Ave., Apt. 2, in Girardville, to take suspected drugs that were seized during a routine probation check. As a result Joseph Boris, 30, of that address, is facing drug possession charges.
• On Sept. 22 at 7:25 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop along Skyline Drive at Darkwater Road in New Castle Township. It was determined that the driver, Jeffrey Huben, 29, of Frackville, was in possession of controlled substances. Charges are pending.
• On Oct. 3 at 7:42 a.m. troopers responded to a residence along West Oak Street in Shenandoah. On scene troopers were told by the complainant that a girl, 9, and a boy, 5, were left alone in the residence. It was discovered they were left in deplorable conditions for about seven hours. An abundance of hypodermic needles were observed in plain view and in reach of both children.
Troopers took custody of the children and they were then turned over to the Schuylkill County Children & Youth office. Charges are pending against a 26-year-old woman, who troopers declined to identify.
• On Oct. 19 at 3:20 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop along South Garfield Avenue at Bacon Avenue in West Mahanoy Township. It was discovered the driver, a 60-year-old woman from Frackville, who troopers declined to identify, displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. She was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger, who troopers did not identify, was found to have active warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Pottsville.
