Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a crash in Lower Towamensing Township.

The incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. along Forest Inn Road just south of West Stagecoach Road, involving a pickup and a sport utility vehicle.

It appeared the pickup was traveling north and the SUV south when they hit.

The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
