The Jim Thorpe and Tamaqua boys and girls cross country teams went unbeaten in Schuylkill League action on Wednesday.

Jim Thorpe-Marian-
Schuylkill Haven-Pottsville
The Jim Thorpe boys and girls earned a Schuylkill League sweep, going 3-0 at Pottsville.
Meanwhile, the Marian boys’ and girls both went 1-2.
The Olympians’ Ryan Bailor and Katelyn Bos won their respective meets, while teammates Ridge Snyder and Megan Rosahac both notched top five finishes in their meets.
Grace Curnow recorded a fifth-place finish for the Marian girls, while Albin Petshauer had a sixth-place finish for the Colts.

Mahanoy Area-Tamaqua
Tamaqua posted a sweep in Schuylkill League action, defeating Lehighton, Nativity and Mahanoy Area in both boys and girls action.
The Lehighton girls ended up with a 2-1 mark, while the boys finished 1-2 on the day.
The Blue Raiders’ duo of Tait Ehrig and Stephen Kieffer finished first and second, respectively in the boys’ meet, while the Indians’ Owen Serfass was right behind with a third-place finish.
In the girls meet, the Indians’ Kelsey Gaston grabbed a first-place finish, while the Blue Raiders’ Grace Stegermerten and Frances Kabana crossed the line second and third respectively.

Jim Thorpe got the best of North Schuylkill for a 4-1 Schuylkill League win.
Jack Morris led the Olympians with two goals and two assists, while Andrea Mazella and Ryan Monahan also added scores. Chris Condly chipped in with two assists.
Olympians’ keeper Jacob Geiser grabbed five saves on the night.
Catasauqua-Northwestern
Northwestern spread the wealth to secure a 5-0 Colonial League victory over Catasauqua.
Jeff Garcia, Josh Zellner, Seth Brady, Aiden Bissell and Donovan Martinez all scored for the Tigers.
Zellner added two assists, while Brandon Smeltz and Matt Johnson added one assist each.
Pleasant Valley-ES North
Pleasant Valley knocked off East Stroudsburg North for a 2-1 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory.
Tyler Akob led the Bears with a goal and an assist, while Jake Alles also added a score.
Bears’ goalie Meyers finished with two saves.
Tamaqua-Pottsville
Mike Shlanta’s two first-half goals and an assist helped spark Tamaqua to a 4-1 Schuylkill League win over Pottsville.
David Vazquez and Ian Davis also posted scores for the Blue Raiders, while Tyler Steigerwalt and Jacob Schlier both earned assists.
Luke Verta finished with two saves in between the Blue Raiders’ posts, while the Tides’ Nico Boris ended up with nine saves.
Palisades-Palmerton
Palisades ran away with an 8-3 Colonial League win over Palmerton.

ES North-Pleasant Valley
Rylee Robinson scored twice and added an assist as Pleasant Valley rolled to a 6-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win over East Stroudsburg North.
Teah Cardoza, Trinity Treulieb, Gianna Moreo and Brittany Williams also found the back of the net for the Bears (2-0). Treulieb, Aurora Cruci, Larissa Mulligan, Laura Babu and Hailey Klien all were credited with PV assists.
VOLLEYBALL
Jim Thorpe-Williams Valley
Jim Thorpe rolled to a 25-0, 25-8, 25-7 win over Williams Valley.
Andi Hoherchak paced the Olympians with 19 assists and four aces. Abigail McGinley (11 digs, four aces); Brandy Montemuro (six kills, six digs, six assists), Autumn Snyder (six kills, three blocks) and Kristin Pompa (12 kills) contributed to the victory.
Palmerton-Southern Lehigh
Southern Lehigh cruised to a 25-6, 25-12, 25-13 Colonial League victory over Palmerton.
Kendall Cioffi led the Spartans with 13 assists and four aces, while Brooke Adams added five assists one kill and one ace.
Panther Valley-Nativity
Nativity defeated Panther Valley, 25-21, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22.
Erika Dubosky played well for the Panthers with 20 kills, seven assists and three aces. Alexis Cooper (25 digs) and Natalie White (nine kills, two blocks) also had strong performances.
Tamaqua-North Schuylkill
North Schuylkill posted a 25-14, 25-24, 25-17 Schuylkill League win over Tamaqua.
The Blue Raiders’ Madison Baddick recorded four kills and two aces, while Leah Mateyak ended up with two kills and one block.
