The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed Thursday that there were 1,376 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 167,928.
Schuylkill County has an additional 12 cases reported and Carbon has seven more cases.
Allegheny is reporting an increase of 128 cases and Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 122 cases.
In nursing and personal care homes, there are 23,611 resident cases of COVID-19, and 5,229 cases among employees, for a total of 28,840 at 999 distinct facilities in 61 counties. Out of our total deaths, 5,528 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here.
Approximately 11,160 of our total cases are among health care workers.
Carbon County is reporting 492 cases, up from 485 on Wednesday. Deaths attributed to COVID-19 remain at 29.
Lehigh County is reporting 5,875 cases, an increase of 25 from Wednesday. An additional death has been reported, bringing the total to 357.
Luzerne County reported an increase of 25 cases, bringing the total to 4,277. Deaths remain at 190.
Monroe County has two new cases, bringing the total to 1,848, with 134 deaths.
Northampton County has 4,714 cases, an increase of 30 cases. An additional death has been reported, bringing the total to 307.
Schuylkill County has 1,320 cases, an increase of 12. One more death has been reported for a total of 61.
